Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can you really still make money off Medium?
There's still plenty of opportunity to make money with Medium. Although they have made recent changes to the platform that hurt some creators, they've added multiple options for making money, and they intend to keep doing so.
Q: Do I have to get into these "magazines" in order to publish on Medium?
Medium's "magazines" are called "publications" on the platform. It's one of the foundational pillars of the website, as it allows anyone to publish articles from themselves or other writers around a certain topic. Some publications have several thousand followers.
With all that being said, you don't need to get in a publication to start writing. You can self-publish right away, and start earning. In the beginning, I'd suggest doing that just to get some momentum.
As you go along, you can choose publications that are a good fit for you and pitch them stories to access their audience. (We teach all of that in Lesson 8 of this course).
Q: Can I refer my friends to buy your courses and get paid?

Q: Can I get my work to pay for the course as training?
Yes. We've had students who asked their work to pay for this training, and their manager happily agreed! Turns out most companies want better writers.
Q: Can you send me a tax invoice for the course?

Q: When does class start and end?
The class starts as soon as enrollment ends, and the course never ends. You'll have access to these lessons so long as the platform we host on continues to function. (Hopefully, a lifetime)
We occasionally host exclusive Q&As for the writer's community. Those other writers will probably become your business partners, editors, friends and biggest fans.

Q: Does the community mean I get 1:1 calls with Todd or Tim?
Unfortunately, no. Todd and I both typically charge $250 per hour minimum for our 1:1 writing consulting calls. That's why we made this course. You win because you get all our knowledge at a fraction of the price.
We do have semi-regular group calls, where Todd and I check in with everyone at large and do Q&A. Those calls are free with the community.
